01. SARDINES

Sardines are small fish that aggregate in large concentrations. They are an essential food for other fish, marine mammals and seabirds. In Rasa Island, in the Gulf of California, there is a direct relationship between sardines and the reproductive success of seabirds. An information that could be used to create policies for sustainable fisheries. Yet, in that region, sardines are still being fished almost without limits, threatening the health of the ecosystem.
